This department was established in Jan,
2000. The department initially had only one unit, which
consisted of an OPD, a Gynae ward and a Labour Room.
The department was extended to Two Units i.e. Unit-I
and Unit-II. Prof. Shaheena Asif Heads the department.

Colposcopy is available in Ghurki Trust Teaching Hospital.
It is a binocular microscope which allows a magnified
visual inspection of the cervix (upto 10-60x magnification)
and is more accurate method then biopsies performed
by gross visualization alone It is done in cases of;
